Amit Sinsinwal, AKM Distributions Pvt. Ltd.

Amit has been in the industry for nearly 20 years with hands on experience in verticals ranging from Sales & Marketing-Distribution to Strategic Alliances and Brand Building. He currently runs a successful distribution house associated with brands like Garmin, OtterBox and leading mobile phone brands.

1. Could you tell us a little bit about the recent promotion you ran with us from Garmin’s perspective?

We had an excellent promotion with Maggi where two big brands came together and created a buzz around healthy food and a healthy lifestyle led by technology.

2. What is the value add for your brand to come on-board for various promotions and programs that we run in different sectors?

Overall it was a great visibility campaign for Garmin along with reaching out to the desired target audience. This promotion also helped in connecting two brands from different business sectors targeting the same customer segment.

3. Given that people are increasingly becoming health conscious, and wristwatches are getting replaced by health trackers, what are some of the channels you’re looking at to reach your TG?

Definitely watch channel for a replacement to a traditional watch, health and wellness centers, corporate wellness programs (an increasing number of large corporates are investing in employee wellness for better productivity and efficiency), sport events and large format lifestyle retailers.

4. Given that festive season is here, could you highlight some Garmin products that would make for premium rewards on festive promotions and programs?

We have some of the SKU’s like Vivofit Jr Kids that is especially for kids from age 4-10 years old, with 1-year battery life that can be offered at an attractive price point. Some other models are Forerunner 35, Forerunner 235 for runners, Vivosmart 3 as the wrist-based heart rate monitor, a fitness band for the masses, including the latest entrant namely Vivoactive 3 Music which can also be added to the offered portfolio during the festive season.

5. How was your experience working with our team?

It was a seamless experience during the project from the inception till the end. We look forward to further joint projects across all verticals, for greater progress.
